Makeup and hair artist Aniya Nandy has been a constant in the beautyindustry for the last 16 years. Her interest in the arts began as a theatre major in Toronto. She then started her career in makeup at MACcosmetics and quickly honed her skills working on set with some ofToronto’s top photographers and stylists.
Aniya's print and editorial work has appeared in multiple publications overthe years including Fashion Magazine, Nuvo, Variety, Coveteur, VogueItalia, The Kit, Sharp, Elle Croatia, Elle Serbia & The Globe & Mail. Aniyaalso has an extensive advertising client list with the likes of Adidas,Lululemon, Hudson's Bay, TRESemmé, Estee Lauder, Reebok, Nike, Ikea and IT Cosmetics. Aniya has also been a contributor and receivedcoverage in the Globe & Mail, Refinery 29 and Elle.com.
Aniya's strong work ethic, ambition, attention to detail and cultivation ofher own unique aesthetic led her to live and work in New York City whereshe participated in eight seasons of NYFW working shows for designersand brands like Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler, Ralph Lauren, HelmutLang, Naeem Khan and Victoria's Secret. Aniya now lives and works in Los Angeles.
Aniya's portfolio has also led her to work with a number of celebrity clientsincluding Richard Roundtree, Imaan Hammam, Elektra Kilbey, NinaDobrev, Nnamdi Asomugh, Amirah Vann, Jeremy Scott, Drake, Patrick J.Adams & Nick Jonas to name a few.
Aniya’s strong creative vision and soft skills like client relations andflexibility are what set her apart. Her versatility has allowed her to work inmany facets of the industry and she feels at home in different localesaround the world; from luxury spaces to backstage at runway shows, toworking with a crew in the Nevada desert or the beaches of St.Lucia.
